TECHNICAL SPECIALIST

Major Duties (Job Description)

  • You will serve as the Weapons Data Link (WDL) Assistant Program Manager (APM) in support of the PMW/A 101 MIDS program office within PEO C4I
  • You will be responsible for managing the cost, schedule and performance for a diverse portfolio of Weapons Data Link (WDL) Small-Form-Factor (SFF) Weapons.
  • You will Attritable Radio Multi-Mode (SWARMM) Family of Radios for customers to include Long Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASM).
  • You will demonstrate experience with weapons Integration and advanced technology projects and programs.
  • You will lead an Integrated Product Team (IPT) with members from multiple professional domains including Information Assurance (IA), software development, modeling and simulation, hardware integration, test and evaluation, and systems engineering.
  • You will be responsible for stakeholder communication and the oversight of requirements definition, research and development, systems integration, qualification and testing, training, production, contracting.
  • You will be responsible for managing and executing budgets across appropriated funding lines (RDTE and OMN) and Spectrum Relocation Funds (SRF) managed by the DoD CIO.
  • You will apply risk management tools and techniques to manage cost, schedule and performance for assigned program(s), evaluate performance outcomes and make recommendations for improvement.
  • You will effectively lead, integrate and coordinate disparate functional groups and develop a cohesive team capable of successfully handling complex problems encountered, and continually monitor program execution.
  • You will ensure compliance with Department of War and Department of Navy directives, PEO policy and other relevant guidance and coordinate preparation of program acquisition/integration documentation.
  • You will effectively communicate program information across the PEO and other relevant organizations to facilitate leveraging opportunities.
  • You will lead coordination across industry and Department of Defense activities, Program Management Offices, to ensure program acquisition strategy meet user capability requirements and are executable with acceptable risk.

Qualification Summary

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band DP-03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing the cost, schedule, performance of a diverse portfolio of programs and projects; directing weapons integration, advanced technology projects and programs to include leading Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and working groups; AND working with members from multiple professional domains including finance, contracting, Information Assurance (IA), software development, modeling & simulation, hardware integration, test & evaluation, and systems engineering.
