Major Duties (Job Description)
- You will be responsible for the technical integrity and execution of all functions within the TIE Department.
- You will direct, facilitate, manage, and execute systems engineering and architecture activities to develop integrated roadmaps, identify modernization priorities, improve the quality and speed of capability delivery.
- You will serve as the Navy's technical expert for enterprise-wide engineering and technology, representing the Center in key technical forums and frequently chairing ad-hoc panels to develop technical policies and recommendations.
- You will provide direct supervision, guidance, and mentorship to the Chief Engineer, Chief Technology Officer, and the lead of the Rapid Capabilities Cell, ensuring the alignment of their respective roadmaps and modernization activities.
- You will formulate and resolve cross-department technical priorities, ensuring architectural and engineering decisions are implemented in a coherent and timely manner.
- You will forecast future naval and joint technical requirements; evaluates, proposes, and demonstrates the feasibility of new systems concepts and architectural approaches needed to provide the future technological base.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (TQs): Your resume should demonstrate accomplishments that would satisfy the technical qualifications: TQ1: Leadership and management experience of large organizations, including: providing technical vision and strategic focus, workforce development, mentoring/coaching technical experts in engineering, modernization, or prototyping domains; and a thorough understanding of budgeting and execution of financial operations within Working Capital Fund (WCF) system. TQ2: Skilled and knowledgeable in enterprise architecture, systems engineering, technology modernization, and rapid prototyping methodologies. Knowledgeable in fostering, guiding, and directing research, development, and fielding of naval technologies and systems.
